Jeep leads the way in rising sales for Barnett brands

Across the board, the brands at Barnet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram can point to upward trending sales -including besting a number of highly promoted vehicles - with Jeep's spectacular numbers leading the way.

Figures ending April 30 show that Jeep sales have risen 82 percent in the past two years, and Jeep repeated as the top-selling SUV brand in America.

Jeep easily blew by Ford, even though Ford reported its all-time record for SUV and crossover sales. Jeep finished more than 9,000 sales ahead of Ford’s best. Cherokee, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee bettered Ford Edge despite a new April sales record. Cherokee and Wrangler also outsold Ford Explorer, with Grand Cherokee just 555 sales behind.

This year’s April Jeep sales volume gave the brand the largest increase in market share of any brand sold in the U.S., setting another all-time sales record.

Jeep has set records in every month since November 2013.

Cherokee, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee all were in the SUV Top 10 in April, and for all four months of 2015. Cherokee and Wrangler also made the Top 10 among all light trucks in April as Cherokee set an all-time sales record and Wrangler set a new April record.

On the Chrysler Dodge Ram side

Ram pickup made the Top 10 list for trucks and the Top 10 for ALL vehicles, adding another month as the No. 3 best-selling vehicle in the U.S.

Outselling the Ford Focus, Chrysler 200 was the third-best-selling American-badged car in April, and finished in the passenger car Top 10. It also was the third-best-selling Chrysler Group brand vehicle after Ram and Cherokee, edging out Wrangler by just one sale.

In April, Chrysler 300 remained the best-selling American-badged upscale sedan in the U.S., outselling its rivals from Buick, Cadillac and Lincoln.

Dodge Challenger showed its growing popularity, finishing a mere 138 sales behind Chevrolet Camaro in April.
