What's more American than America?

Legendary rock and roll musician Bob Dylan proposed this question in Chrysler's "America’s Import" ad for the 2014 Chrysler 200 that debuted during the Super Bowl.

In short, nothing is more American than America and a new revolution is at hand.

The spot featured the rock star alongside images of iconic Americana such as Rosie the Riveter, Marilyn Monroe and Dr. J. And for a vehicle that's made in America, by Americans, the imagery was strong.

"Detroit made cars and cars made America," Dylan says in the two-minute TV spot. "Making the best, making the finest, takes conviction and you can't import the heart and soul of every man and woman working on the line."

With the U.S. Auto Industry in rebound from the doldrums of 2008, Chrysler has clearly made it a point to show the world that they are doing everything in their power to make America mobile.

The ad seeks to differentiate the American made products from the rest of the world and to let the world know that American products are what makes America grow.

"And when it's made here, it's made with the one thing you can't import from anywhere else - American pride," Dylan says.

And that's what Detroit and America are priding themselves in - a new American icon. America is standing up for the things that make them unique. Thus starts the new revolution.

"So, let Germany brew your beer. Let Switzerland make your watch. Let Asia assemble your phone. We will build your car," Dylan says.

A strong message has been sent to the world.
